21/05/12: All is now perfect in Siro’s world. Sheela has become his best friend, and although they quarrel at times, mostly they play together and cuddle and spend hours licking each other. Enjoy the lovely new photos of one happy boy and his cute girlfriend!
08/04/12: Siro found his adoptant and travelled to Germany on 16.03. His new family knew that he might be a little nervous at first, but for 4 days Siro hid from them completely and would not eat. Then I had this email from Susanne: “Better news from Siro… he eats tuna, but still hides. The adoptant talks softly to him when she is in his room but nothing more. They know he needs time… yesterday evening he followed his new cat friend Sheela through the living room… with very little steps it is getting better!” We were still a little worried but then only a week later there had been a huge change. Each day he trusts his new parents more, he loves Sheela and, as you can see from these photos, all is now fine in Siro’s world! And finally a BIG thank you to Sheela, as in many cases of nervous cats, it has been this lovely, friendly girl cat who has helped Siro settle so quickly.
06/01/12: This is Siro, who has grown from a thin little kitten into a very handsome, well-rounded TomCat, now about 8 months. I was surprised by the shape of his face as when I saw him last he looked much more like our thin Spanish cats. Now he looks more English! Of course Siro is VERY Spanish, having been rescued by Montse from a drain as a malnourished, sick, nervous little scrap, in Almeria. She wrote to me recently that she is “very proud of him. He has completely changed his character. He was surly and mean and now is a good good, and sociable with humans, kitten and adult cats.” Good for Siro!
