23/12/10: Yesterday evening Capsi and Whisky flew with Erika to Stuttgart to be met in the early hours by their new family.
The news this morning is that all is VERY well. The 10 year old son stayed up for the rest of the night playing with the kittens! Whisky is, as expected, a little shy but the great news is that he is not hiding, and is playing with the children. Capsi meanwhile is in his element. This confident little man loves all the children already and they love him! This is not a surprise.
I wish these lovely kittens a great and happy life in what I think will be a fantastic home for them. I look forward to photos in the spring of them exploring their garden.
18/12/10: This lovely pair, are 2 of 5 kittens left at foster Dad Matt’s in a box by an English woman about 6 weeks ago. She had been feeding them in her garden and was desperate for them to be re-homed, as she feared her Spanish neighbour was about to poison them!
All are lovely kittens. Henna & Jags are already in Germany and moved to their adoptant a week ago <!–more–>. Whisky is still a little shy with new people, and seems a quiet little boy. Capsi however is confident, playful and friendly and loves cuddles. Now the good news is that these 2 have a home together with a lovely family in Germany in a big house with a big garden. Fantastic!
They make a good pair, as they are already friends and Capsi being more outgoing should help Whisky when he gets to his new home. We have slight concerns that Whisky will find the 4 children too much, but the home is so great that we are sending them, with foster Mum Anke in Germany on standby if things don’t work out.
The family do understand that Whisky will need more time to settle, and we are very hopeful. The boys will fly to Germany on the 22nd to meet their new family and hopefully start a new and happy life together. We wish them well.
