24/06/12: New photos came in today of Bud and Donka in their new home with Miri, who is a photographer! She definitely takes lovely photos of them, but then she has 2 very good models! They look VERY well and happy.
01/05/12: On the 27.04 transport, Dana finally travelled to Germany. I am really happy that she now has her chance of her own family. Dana is almost the last of Montse’s 2010 kittens, that all grew to be adult in her house, because at this time nobody was helping her to re-home them. Dana has become a lot more sociable at Montse’s in recent weeks, we think since a lot of the other big cats have left. With her in her foster home is Gaia, another pretty cat from Montse, also now about 2. Gaia was quite nervous when I met her to take photos, but it seems she is doing very well in her foster home.
This news of them came form Kerstin yesterday:
“First feedback of Dana and Gaia… Claudia and their foster home had a telephone call yesterday afternoon… Gaia is very active and not nervous… She is cuddling and playing… Dana is more nervous… often she is under the sofa… yesterday afternoon she came out one time and went behind Gaia into the sleeping bed… so it will work..!”
I shouldn’t be surprised that Gaia likes cuddles as among the photos Montse sent me of her are some really cute ones. I look forward to some new photos of both of them from germany soon.
23/01/12: Today I received fantastic photos from Miri and the news that Bud (renamed Filou) and Donka will stay with her forever! “Donka and Filou are feeling very well. After a few days they have lost her shyness, and now they love me. Both are a personal gain in my Life and I really do not want to ever be without them! Donka and Filou are very thankful and lovely cats. Thank you Sandra for making me so happy!” AND a big thank you from Montse and me to Miri for giving Filou and Donka a lovely home!
14/01/12: Bud and Donka have now arrived with Miri. She says that they are very quiet, and she hopes they learn to trust her quickly, and settle well in her home. I am hoping for some lovely photos soon as Miri is a photographer!
13/01/12: Time to meet 3 beautiful siblings, who were all 2010 kittens, and have been living in Montse’s cat rescue in Almeria for most of their lives. All 3 are gorgeous cats, but maybe not the most photogenic to all. They were originally found as part of a litter of 7, all very sick. 4 of their siblings died and Bud, Dana and Donka all needed bottle feeding for some weeks. Dana is the ‘lady’ who can be a little more aloof, but Bud is a really ‘cool’ relaxed cat and Donka is very curious and also very affectionate and likes to be stroked. It is Bud and Donka that are on the transport today. They have a ‘trial’ home with Miri who helps Katzenherzen in Germany. Her last old cat recently died and she is looking for some new companions. If they settle well then she will keep them. I wish them luck, and I hope that Dana gets her chance too very soon. Miri is looking forward to her first cuddles.
