22/02/11: Great new photos came in today of these 2 ‘almost’ friends!

Their Mum reports that everything is much more relaxed in the home now. It seems she was away over Xmas, and Albi in particular was very fond of her cat-sitter and was sitting on his lap a lot.

She also saw a big change in their relationship when she got home. It seems Albi and Finbar are now showing much more interest in each other, and there is even some bottom sniffing at times being allowed! When one of them is deemed as having got too close, the paw bashing is now without claws.

All very positive, and lovely to see our Albi in particular looking so relaxed, as he had been slightly intimidated by the more dominant Finnbar.

19/11/10: I asked this week for further feedback on how Albi and Finbar were getting on together, and it seems things are MUCH better between them.

Albi is much happier, and when the home was checked again recently, the report said that, whilst these 2 boys are very different characters, they are finding a good way to live together.

It is not so normal to try and home 2 big Tomcats together, but as they both have FiV it was a good solution for both of them. As long as they are both happy and tolerate each other then that is fine, and we can hope that friendship may come later.

Last night I received new photos of them, and I am now happy. Finbar looks gorgeous as ever, and Albi looks fine now ((and slimmer!) compared to the slightly stressed earlier photos. I am sure that everyone who knew and loved Albi here will be very relieved! This re-homing now looks a success, and I wish Albi AND Finbar (now called Vari and Kuma!) a very happy life. A BIG thank you to their lovely, kind new Mum who was willing to take on both of them!

06/10/10: These are the first photos of our new housemates, Finbar and Albi, in their home in Germany.

Finn looks as if he is completely at home. Albi looks fine, if maybe a little thoughtful. I do know however that he has also enjoyed cuddles with his new Mum, and slept on her blanket, so I look forward to happy photos of Albi soon.
