10/04/11: Not surprisingly these 2 cuties found a new adoptant very quickly and on April 6th, their new Mum Sabrina picked them up from Kerstin’s.
Kerstin sent me this email the next morning:
“Boots and Maria moved into their new home yesterday evening… Maria is now called Amy and Boots is Jake. During travel Amy talked a lot and Jake was the quiet one. At home – Amy came out of the box very fast and Jake waited, so Amy encouraged him up and told him all is fine. They used the toilet and ate a lot… played all the evening and were very happy…. Amy is touchable but Jake is careful… I told Sabrina that this will be better in 4-5 days… they were the same with me… Last night was ok, too… Sabrina woke up this morning and had a look around her apartment but this looked the same like the evening before… only the catgrass was down, looks like somebody slept on it..l.”
(Sweeet! Maria has always been the more confident one, who looked after the slightly younger Boots.)
The next day I received photos and this email from their new Mum:
“The two are great … feel good … currently sunning themselves on the two windows (picture attached). They eat well, and both are VERY fast! Jake is still watching me but gets closer every day. They are very cuddly balls, licking and loving each other. ”
All is very well and Sabrina loves them! Enjoy the new photos:

And here are some photos Kerstin took just before they left. She described Boots in particular as a “lovely charming boy!”:
Boots & Maria
23/03/11: Boots IS now in Germany, and the great news is that he got to stay with his best friend Maria. They travelled together on the transport on March 11th.
Boot’s original adoptant didn’t work out, which I was in the end relieved about. I was actually just about to tell the girls in Germany about Maria, when they emailed me Boots had an interested person. Now they WILL find a home together.
For now they are happy in their foster home. This was initially a trial home with a view to permanence, but although she loves them both, the lady has decided her apartment is too small for 2 very playful kittens. They are therefore still waiting for their forever home, but very importantly they are still together.
Boots loved Maria from the first, and as a frightened rescuee, cuddled up to her as his protector. I have a good feeling that everything will turn out very well for these 2 cuties very soon!

01/02/11: Little Boots does now have an adoptant waiting for him, and we are hoping to get him on a flight to Germany in the next 2 weeks. In the meantime enjoy his new photos.
Bigger Boots
12/01/11: This lovely little chap was found, all alone and very afraid by Jean up in Berja. She thinks he had been abandoned.
He is sweet and tame and once he knows you are not going to hurt him, he loves to cuddle, and will snuggle right under your arm. We wonder, however, if some people have not been kind to him, as he is nervous and hides. He needs lots of love and attention to build up his confidence, and we will give him that.
Kerstin in Germany has put on their homepage that he is a British shorthair, as he has a wider face like an English cat, rather than the lean Spanish look, common to most of our rescues, and 3 of my own cats. He also has slightly longer fur.
This is one cute kitten, from his gentle nature, to his little white toe patches. I don’t think it will be very long before he finds his forever home, and in the meantime we will enjoy having him.
