Eurotunnel have announced that as of 5th July Pet Transport Companies will be limited to a maximum of twenty (20) animals whether transported via the Pets Scheme or under TRACES.
For ALStrays this will mean no change in our process or prices, as we only ever allocate 20 spaces into the UK with the rest being made available for our France, Germany, Holland and Belgium bound cats and dogs.
I suspect it will have an impact on the transporters only going to the UK who regularly take 28+ animals, so maybe prices will go up across the ‘industry’.
For us though, no change: other than maybe as suggestion that you book a little earlier as we tend to get fully booked about 2 weeks before each transport, and I think if supply of spaces is now restricted we may see an increase in demand.
