Fostering A Cat

Working with a charity in Germany, I am looking to find homes for as many of the ‘tame’ cats and kittens, currently stray in Almerimar, that are not adopted here. This is a great system but once the cat is taken off the street it take 6-8 weeks to get it on its way to Germany. This is because of the time needed to Test, Chip, and Vaccinate the cats in order to get their passports, and in a lot of cases, castration before travel is also needed. What we therefore need are good foster homes here in Almerimar for that time period.

This is actually a great opportunity for people who love cats but for various reasons don’t want the long-term commitment of their own pet, to really make a difference and enjoy the animals while they are with them. Of course we will help with anything that’s needed during the foster period, arrange all the vet treatments, and let foster parents know how their charges are once they reach Germany. Zusammen mit der Wohltätigkeitsorganisation in Deutschland versuche ich für die ausgesetzten zahmen Katzen so viele Zuhause wie möglich zu finden. Das ist ein wundervolles System aber sobald die Katze von der Strasse ist, dauert es ca 4-6 Wochen bis sie nach Deutschland gelangen kann. Um dies durchführen zu können, brauchen wir für diese Dauer gute Pflegestationen hier in Almerimar.
