10/05/13: When I first saw Dulcie at SOS Pechina a few weeks ago she was recovering from her sterilisation and still had milk, so I assume her kittens had only recently been taken away from her. This whole family was taken to the protectora by Dulcie’s former owner. This is the same sad story. Spanish people often do not sterilise their cats and when the females give birth they either abandon the kittens or the mother with them. This is very sad for Dulcie who is a relaxed, gentle girl of 2-3 years. I will check on her again the next time I visit but I’m really hoping she finds her forever home in Germany quickly.
