2019 Pet Transport Dates

I know it is VERY early but the 2019 Pet Transport dates are already on the Schedule Page, although I have not yet added them to the Booking Forms yet!

Let me explain why we have set them so early.

Age is not a friend for the pet transport driver, and having done this for 8 years now one (of many) things I have learnt is to listen to this old body of mine!

In many ways it (and I) are ready to call it a day BUT I want to carry on until July 2022, so a few things need to be taken into consideration:

1. I need to be sensible as to how many transports I do, so we will be sticking with the 8 combined EU (Spain, France, Germany, Holland and Belgium) and UK per year.

2. Sands and I need to ensure that we maintain a sensible balance of being separated (I do the 8 transports and 1 personal visit to the UK each year) and Sands does 4 UK visits, so the time we are together has to be enjoyable and focussed on remaining fit and healthy enough to maintain the transports.

3. We need to make sure that we are around to celebrate our special occasions together in Spain, and Sands needs to be in the UK for her Mum’s birthday each year and I need to be in UK for my parents birthday and anniversary ….. not being too morbid we don’t know how many years we will have to do this so as part of getting the right balance being with them is a priority for both of us!

4. Easter is a nightmare as it moves each year so I have given up worrying about it! It is more important that we leave 5-6 weeks in between transports to recover, stay fit, spend time with each other and our animals ….
