We emailed our MP in January, asking them to support the Animal Welfare (Sentience) Bill when it was debated in the House of Commons.
The good news is that the Bill passed its Second Reading. And in less than 2 weeks’ time, MPs will cast their final vote on whether UK law should recognise that animals can feel joy, pain or fear just like you and me.
So …..
Thanks to people like you, UK Government Ministers could soon be required to take animal sentience into account. But, even at this late stage, the success of your campaign isn’t guaranteed.
Please will you email your MP again today. Ask them to support the Bill and ensure that animals’ feelings are, once more, considered in UK law.
Thank you for your ongoing support in the fight for recognition of animal sentience. With your help once again, we can help secure this vital legal protection and a better future for farmed animals.
