24/08/12: Every so often I get involved in the re-homing of a dog. In virtually all of these cases the contact starts with a cat and Amber is no exception. Amber was rescued by an older English couple who found her starving on the streets near their home. They first contacted me to ask me to re-home, Molly, their rescue kitten, and then the conversation turned to little Amber. She is a very sweet, quiet, cat-friendly dog so I was happy to help. The first home Kerstin found for her was with a very athletic young woman and her dog who liked to go running together. They loved Amber, but unfortunately our rather short legged Spanish dog could not keep up with them! Amber has now been re-homed with a friendly FeLV positive cat, and the 2 are firm friends, playing and cuddling together. I am hoping for some photos soon of Amber in her new home. In the meantime enjoy my photos taken in spain.
