Miso & Cody Kitten Friends

27/01/13: It is over a year since we last heard from this gorgeous pair, but yesterday MaPu sent on greetings and new photos of 2 grown up boys. Miso has become much darker and remains very handsome, while Cody is still SO cute!!! these boys are very special to me because we fostered them here in Almerimar and i knew them both very well. Cody completely stole my heart, and Miso became a lovely forever friend for him. It is fantastic to see them so looking so happy and still so close.

17/11/11: Last night the first lovely photos arrived. All is just fine!
01/11/11: The latest news from yesterday is that Miso and Cody now have their forever home together. All is fine, they now live in Leipsig and we are hoping for some new photos of them soon.
10/09/11: Since I last wrote about Miso, he has become firm friends with little Cody, and how could he not be? Every person at least, who meets Cody, loves this little chap instantly. Both did travel together to Germany on August 27th, and are currently in a foster there while the girls find them a permanent home together. Both are lovely people cats and Cody in particular is a real love machine.

In Their Forever Home

Maybe it is because Cody has not had that much attention until recently, but at Sam’s he couldn’t get enough people and cat love. In the evenings he would visit Sam then Monika then Miso and then Sam again for cuddles and attention! Another lovely thing that happened whilst Cody and Miso were at Sam’s, is the change in his semi-feral cat Kiko. It seems that he had been watching all the cat cuddles, and decided to try more human contact for himself, including tummy rubs! This is really sweet, and a lovely legacy from 2 very friendly little kittens. Enjoy the new photos I took just before the boys left us. I’m hoping for good news of their forever home soon. Who could resist them???

21/08/11: This has been a horrible week for AlStrays. On Monday little Missy fell from Sam’s 4th floor kitchen balcony! We do not know why this happened as she had been using it for most of her 2 months with Sam; it seems she must have just slipped for some reason. Sam rushed her to the emergency vet but there was nothing he could do as her injuries were so severe. We are all very sad, and console ourselves with the knowledge that Missy was very happy and loved at Sam’s and her short life was good. Miso meanwhile has lost his best little buddy, so on Friday we decided to put sweet little Cody with him. If the 2 boys get along fine, they will travel together to a foster home in Germany on August 27th. Miso has I hope a new friend but we will not forget lovely little Missy!

Sweet Little Cody @ 6 Weeks

09/06/11: Yesterday I collected Miso and Missy from near Sorbas, along with Miso’s brother and sister Korma and Saffron. I then took all 4 to my vet in Almeria to start preparing them for re-homing in Germany. More on the other 2 later but I managed to take some fantastic photos of friends Miso and Missy before they went off to Sam’s, my new foster home.

Miso, Korma and Saffron are 3 of a litter of 4 born to a cat owned by an English woman. Mother cat is now thankfully sterilised and their original owner decided to keep one of the kittens. Little Missy meanwhile just turned up in the garden as a tiny kitten and so joined the litter. She is about 3 weeks younger than the others who were born on the 5th of March.

Miso was being very sweet and protective of her last night, so the girls in German are looking for a home for them together. Missy will let people stroke her and is not aggressive but does tend to run away and hide, unlike Miso who is tame and friendly. I’m sure with plenty of cuddle at Sam’s however, out little girl will become more confident and sociable soon, AND I am sure it will not be long before this gorgeous pair find their forever home.
