Blanca – A Beautiful Blue-eyed Cat

04/05/12: New photos arrived this week of Blanca thoroughly enjoying life. It seems she is no longer much of a cuddle cat, being far too busy rushing about in the garden. She is now a lean machine, and loves climbing trees and generally expending energy. When she finally settles down to rest, her favourite place is her snuggly polar bear. Her Mum says that sometimes it is hard to see where the cat and the bear begin and end! Blanca is VERY happy and her family adore her. This lucky girl has the perfect home!

19/03/12: Spring is coming in Germany, and with the warmer weather Blanca is now exploring the garden. She seems to prefer this at night when there are less dogs and people around, but has been enjoying family time outside on the terrace with her parents when the sun is shining. She now wears factor 50 suncream for outside, to protect her beautiful white ears that have healed completely. Life is good and Blanca is a cuddly happy cat. One thing her Mum would like her to learn however, is that people don’t really like cat kisses at 3am! All is VERY well with Blanca. Enjoy the new photos.

05/02/12: After 3 weeks as expected Blanca and Sira have become firm friends. They now “eat together, sleep together and do stupid things together!” One of Sira’s favourite habits is to look at herself in the shower drain. Her Mum is not sure if this is curiosity or vanity, and she will sit there for a long time looking in the mirror! The other day Blanca saw her doing this and wanted to join in. The photos are very cute. All is well, apart from Blanca’s Mum still being a little worried about her sun-burnt ears. Let’s hope they heal properly soon.

23/01/12: Blanca has now been just over a week in her forever home and her new Mum has sent us a short report: “After the first exciting days Blanca has settled in well. After some very excited first behaviour, we now have a loving, intelligent, beautiful cat. She has explored the whole house, and found her favourite places. In the evenings she loves to cuddle on the sofa with us. Things are now ok with our cat Sira. Both have agreed to a peaceful co-existence. There is no longer any hissing or growling, and who knows, maybe they will one day become really good friends. We want to again thank everyone who made it possible that Blanca is now with us – best wishes also to Spain! We have our little ones firmly in our hearts and look forward to every day with them.” All sounds just fine, and here is the first photo os Blanca in her new home.

Looking Very Much At Home

31/12/11: Blanca’s photos did charm someone almost immediately! This morning I had news of her home check. It seems that Blanca will go from living in a tree a few weeks ago, to living in cat paradise. She is lucky that, whilst however abandoned her did not value her sweetness and fantastic looks, her new family do: “A large and beautiful house, lovely daughter and a very cute cat. The environment is one of the quietest I’ve ever checked. A new development area with only free-standing houses in 30 mph zone, so that everything is very open. If you look to the right there is the new garden area, next to a huge meadow, one kilometer long. There will be more house built in the next few years, but it will all still be very spacious. Behind this is a football field and meadow and to the left is a small forest. A paradise for cats, too bad that her husband will not allow her even more.” Purrfect!!!

29/12/11: This is Blanca, abandoned in Mojacar and fed for some weeks outside by one of the PAWs girls. Poor Blanca was spending most of her time up a tree as she was very afraid of some neighbourhood dogs. Thankfully after the last transport, there was space for this lovely lady in the PAWs cattery. She is now much happier and charming everyone, and I have a feeling it won’t be long before an adoptant in Germany is equally charmed! The girls I work with over there think she is VERY sweet. Lovely photos!!! Not only does she look beautiful, but her sweet, friendly character is shining through!
