02/06/12: This evening, MaPu sent me beautiful photos of Debra and Mowgli together. Their Mum took them while they were playing inside, as it was a bad day in Germany. On good days the friends like to play together in the garden, hunting mice and flies! It looks to me as if Debra is slightly in charge here. The little miss seems to have a very loving, gentle boyfriend. Lucky girl! Their new Mum says that they are VERy social together, and she is very happy with her 2 lovely cats.
12:00: The first photo os Mowgli in his new home in Germany has arrived. He is looking VERy relaxed!!!
01/05/12: Mowgli has arrived on the 27.04 transport, and the first reports are that all is fine! Debra is a very friendly little girl so I am sure she will be making him welcome, particularly as Mowgli is such a sweet little boy, and, at 11 months, just the right age for her. Mowgli was rescued by some friends of the SanAnimal sanctuary near Aguilas, when he turned up in their garden one day. They have dogs so Mowgli didn’t fit into their home easily, and I am happy to have been able to help this handsome little boy. He was tame from the start so we think abandoned, and I look forward to new pictures of him with his new little girlfriend Debra.
09/04/12: Since my last update, things have changed a lot for Debra. She actually became very ill in her new home, and as they already have one cat with residual health problems, Debra’s family decided not to keep her. This was a shame as we were hoping that given time Debra and Tommy would become friends. This was not meant to be and Debra moved some weeks ago to foster Mum MaPu. The much better news is that with the right treatment Debra has just about recovered from her virus, and has a lovely new home which MaPu knows this time will be forever. She also has a new friend to meet in just over 2 weeks, and her new parents have decided to also adopt Mowgli from AlStrays. All really is now fine for Debra’s future as you can see from these new photos of her. Life is sweet for this little darling and being a very friendly little cat I am sure she will welcome Mowgli when he arrives!!!
And here are some earlier photos of Debra recovering at MaPu’s:
21/01/12: Debra travelled to Germany on the 13.01 transport, our first of 2012, and her family are VERY happy with her. She did have a little cold when she arrived, but all now seems fine and she is busy settling in and making friends with her new boyfriend. Tommy, it has to be said, was being a little bit of a ‘drama queen’ the first couple of nights, but I am sure that I will soon be hearing that they are the best of friends. In the meantime, her is one new photo of sweet little Debra in her new home.
Debra In Her New Home
21/12/11: Pretty little Debra is now reserved. Tommy WILL get a little girlfriend in the new year. Lovely for both!!!
16/12/11: On Sunday, whilst I was in Germany, I visited Tommy in his new home, and while MaPu and I were there, his Mum asked about a little female friend for him. She still has a little work to do to convince her husband, but she would really like a 2nd cat from us. She does however need another sweet, gentle cat like Tommy, as she has a lively little boy of under 2 years, who will want to play! We discussed Debra as perfect for Tommy and her home, and she looked at photos and thought her very pretty. I’m hoping that these new ones which show just how cuddly Debra is will have sealed the deal!
12/11/11: Debra is currently at the PAWs cattery, and she looks a little doll. These are new photos but she looks almost the same as 2 months ago. I think she will stay one delicate pretty little lady! She is one of 8 cats rescued as 2 litters by a spanish family. Her mother had been killed. Debra and sister Josie were taken in by PAWs, and Josie then found a home locally. I am sure she was cute too, but I personally would have been unable to resist little Debra. She is VERY affectionate, playful with all the other kittens, and a real little character!
