Gladys – A Lovely Torty Cat – ALStrays Animal Welfare & Pet Ownership

16/12/11: A few days ago I received another email from Gladys’s (now Maya) new Mum with these great new photos. All is fine apart from poor Merlin’s still suffering from the cold/flu bug brought to Germany by his new friend! I hope he will be 100% again very soon. Gladys meanwhile is looking very relaxed and at home, AND very close to her new buddy Merlin. Good for her!

02/11/11: Gladys is another lovely cat from Montse’s in Almeria. She was also a 2010 kitten and I am very happy that she now has her forever home. Gladys actually travelled to Germany at the end of August, and after some fights and a mutual cold, delivered by Gladys!, she and her new big brother Merlin are the best of friends. They live in a cosy apartment with a lovely Mum called Carmen, and Gladys now has the pretty name of Maya, which suits a very pretty cat. Enjoy the new photos and latest news from Carmen: “Finally I find a little time to tell you, how Maya feels in her new home in Germany.
She arrived with the “White Van Transport” on August, 26th and she was very shy during the first week. Unfortunately she got a slight cold on the transport and so the poor little girl had to visit the vet during her first days at her new home. But finally she feels very well ;o Also her big brother Merlin recovered from his cold and meanwhile he accepts his little sister. But sometimes, the old boy still is a little bit unfriendly to little Maya. But I think, we are on the right way, as you can see on the attached photos ;o)

Maya is such a friendly and talkative little girl and starts purring loudly when we play or cuddle in the afternoon. She welcomes me loudly when I arrive from work and wants to have my attention immediately ;o) It´s such a pleasure for me to see how she developed in the last 8 weeks. Finally, I want to thank you for all the efforts to take Maya and all the other cats to germany. All of you in Spain and Germany make a very good and important job and I can hardly imagine, how difficult and hard this job sometimes can be…Thank you all so much!!!
