Mozart Had A New Friend – Lisa!

27/10/11: Yesterday the news was much better. It seems Lisa’s luck has changed and she will stay in her latest home. I look forward to hearing more from her soon, and I am very happy that this lovely gentle girl appears to be finally settled.
25/10/11: The latest news from this little family is not all good. Mozart is VERY well, now weighs over 4kg, and definitely has a great friend in Leo. But our previously gentle boy it seems took a dislike to Lisa, and used his new found muscle to bully her. Poor sweet Lisa was so stressed out that she kept peeing, and has for now gone off to live with some friends of Mozart’s family. Here lisa is very happy, but is still having no luck. This time the 2 house cats are afraid of her and have taken to not coming home much. I am really hoping her luck will change, because this lovely girl has had such a tough time and really needs a settled home.

29/07/11: Fantastic news in the last week is that Mozart’s lovely family have decided to adopt another cat from us, and Mozart and Leo have already met their new friend. Lisa along with her mother Katya were unwanted owned cats, and Lisa was VERY stressed and afraid when she first came to us some 9 months ago. I am really hoping things work out for her, and she will be settled at last.

She looks beautiful in these new photos; her foster Mum in Germany has done a wonderful job at re-storing her confidence, and helping Lisa to become a happy and relaxed cat. I wish her well, and would also like to thank Erika her first foster Mum here for helping her in the beginning. She really does look a different cat!

04/07/11: Today I received great photos of Mozart, now Simba, in his lovely new home, and a funny email written as if from him. All is very well and he has a lovely new friend called Leo!
“I’m Simba and already it feels like home ……………. I have even a necklace.
From here I can always observe Leo. Best of all I have inside my lawn and the view is great! …. now and then a horse comes along. I like to play with Leo. Sometimes he tries to be too strong but I hit him in the butt. We are friends!”

Once he is completely settled, Mozart/Simba will be able to join Leo exploring the garden. Life looks pretty perfect. In fact, apart from being abandoned in the first place, things have gone pretty smoothly and fast for Mozart, AND as I don’t think he could have a better home for a cat, maybe even being ‘lost’ has turned out to be a lucky break!!!

03/07/11: Mozart had a lucky break as 10 days ago he flew to Germany, so avoiding the long road transport. His new parents Carole and Stephan were very happy to meet him, and although he was hiding at the beginning, I am sure we are going to get lovely new photos soon of him enjoying his new home and garden.

11/06/11: The latest news of Mozart is that he has settled well into the rescue home in Almeria and is socialising with all the other cats there. Even better news is that he already has his forever home waiting for him in Germany. His family are lovely and live in a big house with a garden. He will have a male cat the same age to play with, and an older female cat as a second friend. Sounds perfect!!!

25/05/11: Although I am pleased to help re-home rescue cats across the region, it is always great to help an Almerimar cat, which is of course how AlStrays started.

This morning I was phoned about a very hungry siam-mix, 2 streets away from my home, and I am pleased to say that Mozart was very easy to catch, and is now safe in Jenny’s conservatory, while I arrange his vet appointment and transfer to a cat rescue home.

He was a little afraid just after I caught him, but soon came out for feood as this, we think abandoned boy, was very hungry, and is definitely thin. He was mainly focussed on eating, but did come up happily for strokes and at one point settled down by my feet.

This handsome boy should be very easy to re-home. Tame, beautiful ANd siam-mix is all in his favour!!!
