23/06/11: Saffron and Korma DO have an adoptant waiting for them in Germany, and in the meantime ARE being thoroughly spolit at Tracey and Kev’s. son Jack loves these friendly, cheeky kittens. I miss them and look forward to seeing them again on Monday.
21/06/11: Yesterday afternoon I took Saffron and Korma over to Tracey and Kev’s where they will be thoroughly spoilt for their last 10 days or so before their transport to Germany. The last foster kittens Tracey helped with were little aggressive ferals, so son Jack was very happy to meet this gorgeous pair who LOVE people and cuddles. Korma was exploring their living room and walking much better, so no need to rush him off to the vet. He did hiss at Tracey’s big dogs through the window, but as German Shepherd Lady in particular loves kittens, I am sure he will get used to them. His slightly more confident sister was completely unfazed!
Before they left my spare room, I took some new photos of them. Enjoy!

19/06/11: Saffron and Korma have today taken up residence in my spare bedroom and things are getting a little crowded with now 3 foster kittens as well as my 4 cats! This wasn’t planned but was necessary due to injuries! Saffron and Korma are the same age almost to the day as my 4 other foster kids at Iain’s BUT they are considerably smaller and I think have been taking a bit of battering during all the rough play.
2 days ago Saffron was limping and holding up one of her front paws. I monitored her but fortunately she is now fine. Yesterday I noticed that Korma was struggling and today i realised he had a problem with one front AND one back leg. He was struggling to walk and seemed quite distressed when the bigger boys approached him, so I brought him home. It was then fairly obvious that he was lonely and wasn’t going to settle so Saffron has now joined him.
I am hoping his legs are just strained too, but if there is no improvement tomorrow he will be off to vet Miguel to be checked out. These are 2 gentle, very affectionate little kittens, and their problems show how difficult it is to successfully mix kittens of different sizes unless you can watch them properly. At least I know they are both now safe together, and can’t for now get into any more difficulties. It is a shame because all 6 kittens appeared to be having great fun together, but the ginger boys probably weigh almost twice as much, so Saffron and Korma definitely need a break from them.
13/06/11: Time to meet the other 2 of the beautiful siam-mix litter. Saffron and Korma are Miso’s brother and sister, and I am hoping to find them a home as a pair. Both are very cute and friendly; every time I go over to feed my foster kids, Saffron looks for a chance to jump on my lap for a cuddle. Korma has been a little more stressy with Clementine, Comet, Midge and Muffin, his new house buddies, but things are slowly settling down, and he was playing happily with his sister yesterday. Both are now 3 months old and I’m hoping to get them off to Germany at the end of the month.
These are the kittens we should be looking to re-home. They were actually born into a home, being the offspring of an now owned rescue cat, so have socialised with people from birth. They are very cute!

What beautiful and friendly little ones they are! Saffron is unbelievable friendly and Korma despite his legs was more than happy for a fuss.
After a day and night resting he was moving better this morning when I went to check on them.
