14/10/11: Our little girl had her staples out today, and all is fine. She was very happy to lose her head collar!!!
07/10/11: Akima (Kimmy) is fine but she now has metal staples instead of stitches in her operation wound! This morning she also had an antibiotics injection, some more silver spray on her wound, and had her collar firmly attacked, which is where it will hopefully stay for the next week until she goes back to have her staples removed. I have a feeling it will be off before then, but I’m sure she will be fine. I am just sorry that she has made life rather difficult for herself over the next week, silly little girl!!!
06/10/11: Today Akima and Filou have been to my vet to be sterilised. This is to ensure that we have no incest kittens!! News from Germany is that Brady and Rory have just had their little snips too. Akima has been a little witch since she got back from the vet, rushing around like crazy and tearing at her stitches. Now she has managed to remove the outer ones completely and I must take her back to Almeria first thing in the morning. For now she has a dressing and a collar. The poor little thing is very distressed so I forgive her this extra work. I am also smiling because her mother Tia did exactly the same thing!!!
01/10/11: Now I have new photos of a VERY relaxed Brady, an even more relaxed (and maybe relieved) ’emergency foster cat’, AND Rory looking VERY bright eyed, which is fantastic proof that our little boys’ eye problems are definitely in the past. Lovely!!!

20/09/11: I am still smiling to myself about a slightly embarassing mistake. Tia actually has 4 sons and one daughter, now re-named Akima! I had been told right from the beginning that there were 5 boys, but of course it is difficult to tell accurately with tiny kittens. The first time I took them to the vet, there were about 20 kittens in total there between me and Montse and nobody obviously looked closely enough at our little girl. Akima (Kimmy) and Filou are the last 2 of this litter still here, and new foster Dad Sam saw straight away that our rather small delicate boy was in fact a feisty little girl!
Both her and Filou have now finally got over their eye problems and are loving the extra space. They are playing all over Sma and Monika’s apartment and balcony and it is Akima who is the most boisterous, SO it seems we have ended up with 4 boys and one tomboy! They are lovely affectionate kittens but not that into actual cuddles as they are far too busy rushing around. With these new photos I’m hoping we will have them on their way to a new life in Germany soon. We are now looking for a home for these 2 together as they are a lovely pair. Thank you to Sam and Monika for considerably improving their little lives for now.

04/09/11: The latest photos I have of the brothers are ones of Brady and Rory in their foster home in Germany. They traveled together on the 27/08 transport. I am still waiting to get some better photos of Akim and Filou, the 2 smaller boys, hindered by the fact that all 5 have been suffering from a re-occurring eye infection. Brady and Rory had a little of this again on arrival in Germany, but after a week of new treatment their eyes are now healthy again. This is all very strange as apart from their eyes, the 5 boys have been full of life, health and energy! As you can see from the new photos, Brady and Rory are fine, and are also very close. We will find them a home together.
I particularly love the photos of them sleeping and snuggled up together. Because I have been looking after them in a friend’s spare room and not in my own home, I have never seen them like this. They have always jumped up to greet me at the door. They look adorable, as all kittens do when asleep! I am also smiling because these 2 little boys are apparently growing up fast, and have been cheekily making unwanted advance towards Katya and Valentina, who are sharing their foster home. I think they will be off to the vet for a little snip sooner rather than later!
A big thank you to Mahie for making them feel so relaxed, AND of course for adopting little Pippa from us all those months ago, along with her boyfriend Leo!

21/08/11: Before I managed to rescue her Tia gave birth to 5 beautiful boy kittens, which was a big achievement for a kitten of only about 8 months. All 5 are now just over 4 months old, and I am hoping we will have homes for them soon. In the meantime I have the pleasure of looking after them and playing with them twice a day.
Cody, Rory and Akim, are cute tabby and white kittens, Cody being I think the MOST cute with his little pink nose. Brady is a handsome ginger and white boy, and Filou is mostly white with just a little bit of tabby.
On Friday Cody went off to join Miso in his foster home so I hope to have photos of them together soon.
In the meantime enjoy my latest photos of Brady and Rory and some earlier ones of Cody in his first foster home with Matt. Cody is the MOST friendly as Matt took him early to be a friend for one of his kittens, before he took in a lot of others. He was later re-united with his brothers, who are all now lovely, friendly, playful little cats.

How funny, she looks like a beautiful little lady 🙂
