UPDATE: 10/04/09
On their way … yippee!!! All went very smoothly as usual.
Wow that took some emails. FINALLY this morning I got confirmation that Korky and Phoebe, along with Jack and Bruno will be traveling to German on the transport van tomorrow morning. This has taken a lot of work and organising from the great girls in Germany, to sort foster homes and logistics over there.
Korky and Phoebe will go first into a foster home while an adoptive family is found, and we all hope that they will be able to stay together in the long-term.
Jack and Bruno are going straight to their new, permanent home together which is fantastic for these lovely brothers. I’m sure their new Mum is very excited as she has been waiting for them about 6 weeks now. We know that she is going to love them as they are such fun and are gorgeous, afectionate little chaps.
Thank you to Tracy, Pam and Dawn for their care and love in fostering these beautiful cats, and we look forward to happy photos from Germany, and news that Korky and Phoebe have a permanent home, soon.
Meanwhile Pam and I have another 6.30 start tomorrow morning to drop them all off at the transport, and I’m busy making final passport checks and delivering boxes this afternoon. No complaints however as I for one find all the work very worthwhile.
Another successful delivery of 4 cats from Almerimar to Jos at the Dog Sanctuary for their onward journey to Germany and new homes.Up at 5.30 am my 2 cats Jack and Bruno put in their box and onto Dawn to collect Korky and Phoebe – both put in separate boxes and off Sandra and I went to Mojonera.Everything went like clockwork – all down to Sandra’s great organisational skills – cats microchip checked, cats injected with a sedative for the journey, passports checked and we were on our way home by 8.00 am.Stopped off at the Milenio for a coffee and tostada and congratulated ourselves on the success of the whole operation. Now its find a few more likely candidates for the next trip and we have already earmarked 3 cats.Hopefully next week we can grab another pregnant cat which Miguel says he will steralise any day we can catch one.So its fingers crossed for next week.Well done Sandra.
Well done to all concerned with another smooth and successful operation! I will definitely be looking out for further news of all four of these lucky cats, and fingers crossed the two ‘pairs’ find new homes together.
So that is where you were when I woke up 🙂
Congrats!
